I utilize an eclectic approach with children and teens which is necessary in meeting their variable therapeutic needs. I work individually and in family therapy and employ the following therapeutic techniques to help foster growth and change: Family systems therapy, play therapy, psychoeducation/coaching for parents, psychodynamic therapy, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral/mindfulness, and relational/interpersonal therapy. I also commonly collaborate with a child or teenager’s psychiatrist, school teacher, psychologist, or other treatment provider to coordinate care that is responsive to their individual needs.
