I received my training at the University of Vermont where I received a BSW in 2000 and worked with adolescents and children in a variety of residential programs for the next few years. After this I returned to graduate school at Fordham University where I received an MSW with a clinical focus in 2004. I went on to receive training in various modalities over the next nine years (trauma treatment, work with children and families, motivational interviewing training, ACT training, etc). From 2004-2013 I have worked in a number of settings including a therapeutic community as a family therapist for adolescents with conduct and substance abuse issues and two outpatient mental health agencies providing individual, group, and family psychotherapy therapy to a diversity of ages, genders, sexual orientations, and cultures.
